Redman Wines first began 1966, when Owen Redman bought a vineyard in Coonawarra after he and his family, Bill (father) & Don (brother) decided to sell Rouge Homme to Lindemans, who made them an offer too good to refuse. After setting up the winery Owen and his wife Edna worked tirelessly to establish the Redman label throughout the Australian market. Two of their three sons, the eldest and youngest, third generation winemakers Bruce and Mal took over the business in 1982. Today Bruce’s two boys and fourth generation winemakers Dan and Mike are in charge.
