Les Chiens, Blanc, Vin de France, France, 2020

Produced by Les Chiens

£8.99/bottle

2020  |  12.5%

These wines really are “The Dog’s”…. A cracking red and white pair. Slightly floral on the nose with a hint of minerality and pastry. Honeysuckle, peaches and herbs shine through supported by lovely texture, depth and weight. A salivating mouth, which is slightly saline and with juicy pear notes.

Slightly floral on the nose with a hint of minerality and pastry. Honeysuckle, peaches and herbs shine through supported by lovely texture, depth and weight. A salivating mouth, which is slightly saline and with juicy pear notes.

These wines really are “The Dog’s”…. A cracking red and white pair from the Roussillon, deep in southern France. A region much overlooked and brimming with promise and potential.

Grape Variety: Grenache 40%, Colombard 30%, Others 30%

Viticulture: From some of the best vineyards in the Roussillon, this distincively French white wine is crafted from native varietals to the region, usually a blend of Colombard, Vermentino, Marsanne or Grenache Blanc. The soils are rich in clay and silt.

Winemaking: A traditional white wine fermentation follows a direct pressing and racking in stainless steel without carbonic maceration.

Oak Ageing: No oak aging

Food Match:
This stands up well to rich paté, creamy sauces and white meats.
