Silver gold colour, delicate bouquet of orange blossom and stone fruit, hints of citrus and almond with a pleasant crisp finish.

Gavi di Gavi is sourced from the commune of Gavi from 20 year old vines, 210 meters above sea level from 100% Cortese grapes.

The harvest is in September and the vinification technique is a soft pressing on the grapes to extract only the best and primary flavours of the wine.

The style of the wine is fresh, citrusy, good body and perfect balance between fruit and tannin.

Producer:

Il Rocchin farm was founded by the Zerno family in 1982 and created a new up to date winery. The company own over 100 hectares, of which 44 hectares are planted with Gavi vines. The cultivation of the vineyards is historically a “Gavi” or a “Cortese di Gavi” – a native grape variety that takes its name from the town. Situated between Piedmont and Liguria, it is easily accessible to major centres such as Genoa, Turin and Milan. The Cortese grapes used to make this Gavi di Gavi DOCG are hand harvested and lightly pressed to extract the primary flavours of the wine, cruisp and dry with a subtle citrus aroma.
