This is the drink of the moment as a delicious aperitif or with just about any food…. A deliciously soft creamy nose with ripe fruitiness. On the palate a distinctive almost cream soda tone and good length.

Prosecco over the last decade has become Italy’s favourite sparkling wine that can accompany almost any occasion. This has been due, initially, to its popularity in the chic bars of Venice. Indeed most grapes for Prosecco are grown just north of Venice around the towns of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, a part of Italy that is equally famous for the many villas built by Palladio in the 16th century. The wine got its name, probably, from the eponymous village of Prosecco, just north of Trieste in Friuli. The Glera grape has a natural, clean and fresh acidity, making it ideal for sparkling wine.

The Nosuga product does its own “bit” to support the environment – with no label and back label packaging – so saving paper, the printing on the bottle is with lead free paint and 60% of the bottle is from recycled goods. Drink well and look after the environment!

Area: From vineyards in Veneto and particularly around Conegliano
Harvest: Late September
Vinification: Fermented in stainless steel for 12-18 days at 14-160C. There is no malolactic fermentation. After the first fermentation the wine is put into pressurised tanks for 40 days and given a second fermentation – the Charmat method.
Ageing: The wine is kept in stainless steel vats until required for bottling.

Food Match: Enjoy as an Aperitif, for a celebration, over a meal – very good with fish & shellfish or enjoy with desserts.
