Thanks to the owner and the visionary teams, they are committed to the sustainable agriculture since 2008, and obtained the organic certification in 2011 – Château Meyre was one of the first Organic Crus Bourgeois and has now been granted the title of Cru Bourgeois Superieur. Chateau Clos Chaumont is the story of a wine passionate and two families united in effort and friendship. In the early 90’s, the Dutch Pieter Verbeek bought the nearly abandoned property out of a wish to produce his own wine.
Why Clos Chaumont? It’s simple! The beautiful residence, its unique panorama and of course its exceptional soil on the hillsides of the Garonne river offer the perfect package for high quality.
With the assistance of Viviane and Didier Ginelli and through hard work, the place was restored in honour to what nature created. Then, under the guidance of Kees van Leeuwen, our first consulting oenologist, the first vintage was born. This happened in 1994. Ten years later, Hubert de Boüard de Laforest, co-owner of Chateau Angelus, took over the consulting and is, since then, signing our labels by applying his “Grand Cru touch”.
Over the years and with the help of the entire team, Clos Chaumont became one of the prides of the Cadillac Cotes de Bordeaux appellation with wines that are regularly awarded both nationally and internationally.
Today, Pieter’s children have taken up the torch and are continuing the work of their father.

Botanica Wines was founded in 2009 by owner and self-taught winemaker Ginny Povall, an intrepid American who fell in love with the beautiful Cape winelands, purchased Protea Heights farm in Stellenbosch’s Devon Valley and relocated to the southern tip of Africa in 2008. Established in the late 1940s, Protea Heights was the first farm in South Africa to cultivate indigenous protea flowers commercially. Inspired by this horticultural history, it was only natural that Ginny would choose to develop her wine brands and labels with a botanical flair.
Today the estate boasts eight varieties of proteas (four of which are hybridized species unique to the property), largely destined for export to Europe. The 21.6 hectare farm is planted with 10 hectares of indigenous flowers, which bloom throughout the year, and 5 hectares of organically farmed, high density vineyards. Planted between 2009 and 2010, the estate vines provide the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Albariño used to craft Botanica’s Arboretum, Big Flower and Flowergirl ranges.

Meet the Brewers

Crumbs Brewing was founded by Reigate husband and wife Morgan and Elaine Arnell in 2017 in collaboration with Chalk Hills Bakery, whose lovingly crafted artisan loaves would become the basis for lovingly crafted artisan beers.
The Bakers are Chris & Rosie Robinson from Chalk Hills Bakery in Reigate, Surrey. Provider of delicious, organic, artisan breads to a range of deli’s, restaurants and pubs in the local area as well as via their shop on Bell Street. What’s less well known about Chris and Rosie is they also used to be publicans. A fact that meant they were very receptive to the random phone call received one day asking “Do you fancy trying to make some beer from your leftover bread??”
We got to know about these beers as Claire used to work with both Morgan & Elaine in their previous lives in Marketing at Boots! We have all come along way since then and who knew we would end up in the drinks trade? Cheers guys!

Meet the Distillers

Brentingby Gin is a true craft gin, handcrafted and bottled in the heart of England. Nestled in the Leicestershire countryside, all their gin is made and bottled in Melton Mowbray.
Combining contemporary with tradition to create a modern and unique Gin, we hope to inspire our drinkers with the same passion for locally-made, authentic produce, that inspired us to create it.
BRITISH MADE, SCOTTISH EXPERTISE & SOUTH AFRICAN INSPIRATION. As founder, Bruce has brought his South African roots into Brentingby Gin’s design.

The founders of Rare Bird Distillery in Malton, North Yorkshire are a small group of like-minded individuals with a passion for fine flavour and a love of Gin. Collectively, they have lived and holidayed in both the wine regions of Bordeaux France and the rolling Tuscan hills of Italy. These locations, apart from their beauty, seemed to have something very important in common; a discerning local community who have enormous pride in local produce, who demand high quality ingredients and appreciate the best flavours. Their senses acutely awakened by these experiences, they gradually began to reject the mass produced Gins most often found in the supermarket aisles, in search of something superior, something more flavoursome, more satisfying.
